After trying the Meta Ray-Ban Display spectacles, I became enthusiastic about

On Wednesday at Meta Connect 2025, I had the opportunity to try on the brand-new Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses. Although they are far from taking the place of your smartphone, they are sufficient to demonstrate that smart glasses with a heads-up display are superior.

We're undoubtedly moving closer to a society where we spend less time engrossed on our phones, based on my experience on Wednesday.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, stated during the company's Meta Connect event on Wednesday night at its headquarters that the widespread use of cellphones has caused a loss in our society. By encouraging individuals to spend more time in the present, Meta hopes that smart glasses can help us regain some of what we've lost.

In an effort to do this, Meta has released its next-generation glasses, which have a brilliant, full-color display and a smart wristband that can interpret small hand motions and perform a number of new functions that have not yet been made feasible by smart glasses.

At Meta Connect 2025, Zuckerberg was obviously more excited about the introduction of the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses than anything else that was revealed.

"We've been working on glasses for over 10 years at Meta, and this is one of those special moments," Zuckerberg stated. "I'm really proud of this, and I'm really proud of our team for achieving this."

The selling price of the spectacles, including the bracelet, will be $799. All pairs have transition lenses, and they are available in two colors: translucent light brown and lustrous black. Although it's unknown how much prescription lenses will increase the cost, they will accommodate lenses between +4.00 and -4.00. To purchase these, you will need to visit a store to have your wristband fitted.
