A $1 million Powerball ticket at a Market Basket in Revere, Massachusetts, but there were no jackpot winners

The Powerball jackpot continues to increase, with over $1 billion still up for grabs, but one ticket sold in Massachusetts for Monday night's drawing is worth a significant sum of money.

The value of a ticket at Revere's Market Basket is $1 million. Additionally, four tickets sold in the state brought in $50,000. The minor prize winners purchased their tickets from the Rochdale Convenience Store in Marblehead, Cumberland in Swansea, Cumberland in South Dennis, and One Thirty Seven Gas in Harwich.

For the upcoming drawing on Wednesday night, the jackpot has increased to an estimated $1.30 billion. The estimated cash value of the prize is $589 million.

After no ticket matched all six of the numbers drawn yesterday night—white balls 8, 23, 25, 40, 53, and red Powerball 5—the Powerball prize increased. Three was the Power Play multiplier.

Ten tickets nationwide won $1 million in prizes when they matched all five white balls. California, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey (2), New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia were among the states that sold the $1 million winning tickets.
By adding the Power Play option, which costs an additional $1 at the time of purchase, two tickets that matched all five white balls were able to enhance their wins to $2 million. Tickets worth $2 million were sold in North Carolina and Montana.
The Powerball jackpot was last won in California on May 31, thus Wednesday's drawing will mark the 41st lottery since then. With a $1.326 billion jackpot winner in Oregon on April 6, 2024, the longest Powerball jackpot streak to date was 42 straight games.
