First, the UN calls for justice for Israel's twin attack of the hospital in Gaza

The UN has called for accountability and outcomes from Israel's probes into illegal killings in Gaza, including the "double-tap" attack of Nasser Hospital, which killed 20 people, including five journalists.

Justice must be served, according to UN human rights spokesperson Thameen Al-Kheetan. He continued by saying that there were numerous concerns regarding the targeting of media professionals given the number of journalists killed in Gaza.

The last operational public hospital in southern Gaza, Nasser Hospital, was hit twice by Israel on Monday. Fifteen minutes after the initial attack, witnesses reported that the second strike killed first responders and media professionals as they arrived to evacuate the injured. Both independent and Reuters, Associated Press, and Al Jazeera journalists were slain in the "double-tap" strike.

What is the attack's legal status under international law? According to Peter Beaumont of the Guardian, it might be a war crime on several levels. He says, "What is striking about this incident is that each individual element in and of itself would be expected to draw accusations of a war crime: the targeting of a functioning hospital, of journalists and rescue workers, of injured civilians already under treatment."

Which five Palestinian journalists were murdered? You may read about them here. Their names were Ahmed Abu Aziz, Hussam al-Masri, Mohammad Salama, Mariam Abu Dagga, and Moaz Abu Taha. "He had a deep love for his work," Adly, Abu Taha's brother, stated.

What's going on in Israel in the meantime? In an effort to pressure Benjamin Netanyahu into reaching an agreement to halt the war and abandon plans to assault Gaza City, tens of thousands of people participated in protests on Tuesday, blocking roadways.

According to her lawyer, Lisa Cook, the governor of the Federal Reserve, will challenge the Trump administration for trying to remove her due to unsubstantiated claims of mortgage fraud.

In an unprecedented step that represents the most recent development in the US president's assault on the independence of the central bank, Donald Trump declared on Monday night that he was firing Cook.

What has been mentioned by Cook's lawyer? According to a statement, Trump has "no authority" to fire Cook from the Fed's board of governors. "His attempt to fire her... is not supported by any facts or the law." Cook intends to remain on the Fed's influential board of governors and rate-setting policy committee in the meantime.
